Desperate Journalist Announce New Album No Hero And UK Tour Dates
Stellar London post-punks announce return
Indie-noir specialists Desperate Journalist have announced details of their new album No Hero, due for release on 27th September.
The fifth LP by the acclaimed London outfit, lead single Unsympathetic Parts 1&2 is the first fruits of a more synth led approach for the band on the forthcoming LP, produced by guitarist Rob Hardy. Piloted by Jo Bevan’s outstanding lead vocals, the track draws inspiration lyrically from cult 1977 film Opening Night.
Set to be issued through long-term label, storied indie outfit Fierce Panda, No Hero is the follow up to Desperate Journalist's widely praised 2021 LP Maximum Sorrow!
The quartet have announced live dates for album release week, with further shows scheduled for November and next January (see below for details). Last year saw the band play main support for indie legends Suede on their sold out Autofiction tour.
No Hero is released on September 27th through Fierce Panda Records
