The Primitives Release New Single Sweet Sister Sorrow And Announce Singles & Rarities Collection
Evergreen indie pop outfit return with double album

Available in two different versions, the original of Sweet Sister Sorrow is a gently psychedelic track which evokes the band’s 1992 LP Galore. The contrasting Symphonic Dream Pop Version meanwhile re-imagines the song as Love / Burt Bacharach style chamber pop.
The Coventry band’s first new material since 2023 single I Won’t Care, the tracks flag up the band’s forthcoming LP Let’s Go Round Again: Second Wave Singles & Rarities 2011-2025, available on 7th March through cult Spanish label Elefant Records, with a CD release to follow in May.
Comprising of material from the group’s second era since their 2009 reformation, the double vinyl album features previously unreleased tracks, rarities and A and B sides of 7" singles, the majority of which are out of print. In support of the LP, the quartet have announced a UK tour taking in headline dates and festival slots (see below for details).
