Spawned in 2010, hardcore enthusiasts Koshiro instantly began inciting “bangovers” and wreaking havoc with their brutal metal/punk concoction, infecting all passers-by with their incendiary percussive forces, gnarled vox and merciless riffs; all splendid ingredients for an impressive caste of noisemakers.

Since their inception, the quintet have been tantalising/torturing (depending on you tastes) the live circuit in their hometown of Bristol, making a name for themselves as dependable sources of the utmost calibre, frequently spewing raucous bouts of loud and forming the perfect conditions for a teensy bit of moshing. Koshiro shows tend to be explosive arenas that while ferocious and eardrum-pounding, are wildly fun and not the dourfests you might expect.



Recent single 'Guts Guilt Greed', off their new split EP with Syren City, showcases their innate knack for being purveyors of the finest sound: enchanting, haunting piano keys underpin the riotous rhythms and major licks, which makes for a twist on the standard heavy metal fare. It doesn't compromise any of their trademark sting, however, and the flagellent-esque turns of phrase in their vocals. 'Malevolent', their single before 'Guts Guilt Greed' toys with rhythm and pace, with blistering axes and classic rock noodling commingling with a fusion of heady screaming and anthemic actual singing.

Koshiro show immense promise with the scant offerings available so far. The main appeal exists in their live show – you can tell from the music that these ditties were invented to be rolled out in front of baying audiences hellbent on a cheeky bit of mayhem. Indulge your feral side.
