Mark Peters Acclaimed guitarist / producer Mark Peters has announced details of his second solo album Red Sunset Dreams.

Leader of cult shoegazers Engineers, the LP is the follow up to 2018s warmly received Innerland, the new disc is due for release on September 16th through storied indie label Sonic Cathedral and comes backed with a string of UK shows (see below for details).

Drawing inspiration from Mark’s birthplace Liverpool and its long standing fascination with country music and Americana, special guests featured on the disc include former One Dove vocalist Dot Allison and legendary pedal steel player BJ Cole.

Alongside news of the album, Peters has announced a string of live dates backed by Dean Roby on bass and Chris Smith on drums. “It’s excellent to be in a band again and as an acoustic drumkit is featured on Red Sunset Dreams, it’s very satisfying to play the songs as they should be heard and allow room for improvisation” Mark states. “It’s been especially great to rework some of the Innerland tracks in an organic way that gives them a more human ebb and flow”.

Kicking off on release day, the upcoming tour dates include three in-store performances and signing sessions at Rough Trade East London, Bristol and Nottingham.
