Psych / Post-Punk Duo Lorelle Meets The Obsolete Return With New LP Corporal

Storied Mexican psych / post punk group Lorelle Meets The Obsolete have announced their return with new album Corporal, set for release on October 10th.

Comprising of Lorena Quintanilla and Alberto González, the duo’s seventh LP, album is being issued through long-standing label, cult London outfit Sonic Cathedral.

Presaged by Regresar / Recordar, a slab of chilly synth pop redolent of early New Order which translates as “to remember / to return”, the lead single hints at a new approach for the band. The track comes backed with visuals created by Rachel Kichler, see below.

The successor to 2023s acclaimed Datura, the new album is mixed by Antoine Goulet (live sound engineer for SUUNS) and mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring).
