London indie outfit return with album previewing new track plus info on tour dates

Desperate Journalist Announce New Album & UK Tour Dates Making a swift return to the fray, gothic indie outfit Desperate Journalist have issued Cedars, the first track from their forthcoming third album In Search Of The Miraculous due for release early next year.

The first new material from the quartet since five track EP You Get Used To It issued in March, In Search Of The Miraculous is Desperate Journalist’s third album and the follow up to 2017s hugely praised Grow Up.



Due for release on February 22, 2019 through legendary indie label Fierce Panda, Cedars sets the scene for the new LP with an early R.E.M. meets The Cure-esque powered by Jo Bevan’s outstanding vocals, Rob Hardy jangling guitar lines, and the engine room rhythm section of drummer Caroline Helbert and bassist Simon Drowner.

Fresh from supporting indie stalwarts The Wedding Present last month, the band’s next gig is sees them support Britpop veterans Marion later this month at Islington plus a special intimate headline show at The Waiting Room, London in mid-December, see below for full dates.
