Desperate Journalist Announce New Album Maximum Sorrow! And Unveil Preview Track Fault Alt. rock mavens Desperate Journalist have announced details of their fourth LP Maximum Sorrow! due for release on July 2nd (pre-order here) https://linktr.ee/desperatejournalist

The first new material from the London band since 2019s rapturously received In Search of the Miraculous, the album is being released through storied indie label Fierce Panda.

The quartet have issued a formidable lead track for the set, storming new cut Fault. Swerving away from the jangling arpeggios of earlier releases, Rob Hardy supplies atmospheric guitar textures backed by Simon Drowner’s plangent bassline and Caz Helbert’s rapidfire drums. The band's hallmark, Jo Bevan’s superlative vocals leads the track, hinging on its “If it’s no-one’s fault / Then it’s everyone’s fault” chorus.
