Premiere: Oh Well Goodbye Release Video for Maudlin in Faux Fur Liverpool alt. rock outfit Oh Well Goodbye make a welcome return this month with intriguingly titled new cut Maudlin in Faux Fur.

The first song to be issued from the band’s new EP affinity part II, the three track collection is available for free download here.

The follow up to the first volume released in November 2017, the set is being issued by Liverpool indie label Edils Records, which recently reissued Love Canal by cult 1980s Blackpool post-punks Vee VV.

Holding off fully kicking in until after the two-minute mark, Maudlin in Faux Fur mixes OWGs melancholy melodicism with elements of shoegaze, a theme picked up in the lysergic visuals. Suggesting a new avenue for the group, Breathing and …Monuments on the new EP both feature further experimentation with guitar textures and prepare the ground for new material by the band later this year.
