Whitelands Announce Debut Album And Tour Details

Ascendent dream pop outfit support shoegaze pioneers Slowdive later this month

Whitelands Acclaimed shoegaze outfit Whitelands have announced details of their highly anticipated debut album Night-bound Eyes Are Blind To The Day.

Due for release on February 23rd, the LP is the first album release of 2024 for storied shoegaze label Sonic Cathedral who are celebrating their twentieth anniversary this year. Night-bound Eyes Are Blind To The Day takes its title from a quote in The Prophet, the groundbreaking 1923 philosophical work by Kahlil Gibran.

The London based quartet have released new single Tell Me About It ahead of the album release, a slice of dreamy guitar pop that features lead singer Etienne duetting with Dottie from fellow shoegazers deary.



Directed by Charlotte Whiteside with additional footage and editing by Chris Tomsett aka Innerstrings, the video to Tell Me About It draws inspiration from cult 1995 film Fallen Angels.

Coinciding with the album release Whitelands head out on tour supporting shoegaze pioneers Slowdive across the UK later this month. Following the tranche of dates the band have a trio of headline shows in Nottingham, Bristol and London (see below for details).
