Zebra and Snake is long time friends and excellent name holders Tapio (Vocals / Synths) and Matti (Bass / Backing Vocals). Originally hailing from Alajarvi, a town “so small that everyone knows each other”, the pair have now combined to produce a strikingly ethereal sound.Their latest single, ‘Empty Love Song’, is self professed “healing music” which chimes out like a forgotten New Order record left playing in Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.

The Helsinki based band combine their disparate influences to excellent effect. Having emerged from a deep rooted “synthesiser fetish” and Lutheran religious orthodoxy respectively, Matti and Tapio are ones to watch as Zebra and Snake have recently signed to 100% Records in the UK and their debut album is attracting rave reviews faster than they can be written.
