Bright Young People unleash new single Suppress Happiness

North Wales trio kick start their 2017 with storming new track

North Wales garage rock trio Bright Young People return to the fray with fuzzed out punk cut Suppress Happiness, their first new material since 2015 release Sunshine Town EP.

Combining melody and aggression, alternating between a calm Kim Deal-esque bass rumble and explosive Nirvana-style chorus, the track was produced by Pat Collier, bassist from seminal punk band The Vibrators and comes backed with a video compiled from VHS rips and Super-8 footage.

Recently praised by Guns N’ Roses legend Duff McKagan, the trio announced their arrival with garage rock stomper Liberties in 2014, produced by Echo & The Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch,

Signed to 25 Hour Convenience Store, the label established by The Libertines’ Gary Powell, the Libs’ sticksman signed the Rhyl trio on the spot following an incendiary show at London’s Shacklewell Arms.
