Liverpool post-punk quartet unveil video for lead track from upcoming second EP

Returning a year after their well-received debut EP Transient Scenes (review) Liverpool post-punk People//Talk (formerly called So Sexual) have unveiled ‘Translation’, the lead single from forthcoming EP BGO83.

An excellent piece of gloomy synth powered alt. pop, the clip is filmed underneath (and briefly on the roof of) the city’s iconic St. George’s Hall.

Created by prolific Liverpool music video creators of note Freakbeat Films the clip looks something not dissimilar to The Blair Witch Project meets Donnie Darko (check out the rabbit’s head costume left down in the cellars for who-knows-what reason), making full use of the eerie basements and dimly lit stairways of the former courthouse and cells of the Hall.

Released through boutique San Francisco label Bleeding Gold Records, the parent five song set arrives on 3rd November.

Stay tuned for our interview with the band next week.
