Watch: Dan Croll ‘From Nowhere’ video

Promo for debut single From Nowhere unveiled

'From Nowhere', the debut single from Liverpool-based musician Dan Croll is already causing a major buzz out in internet-land and received airplay on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio One show weeks prior to its release. The Beeb have been decisively won over it seems as fellow DJ Annie Mac has also been giving the track repeat plays.

Centred around Dan’s double-tracked vocal, Farsifa organ riff (Candida Doyle of Pulp’s preferred keyboard) and swooping guitar figure, the song was produced by Joe Wills, who was on recording desk duties for Mikhael Paskalev’s acclaimed single 'Jive Baby' earlier this year. Backed with a spot-lit video the clip for From Nowhere showcasing each musician individually was directed by filmmaker Jack Whitely, famed for his work with fellow Liverpool-based band Stealing Sheep.

A homecoming gig for Dan Croll with similarly excellent Liverpool compadres All We Are for Selector Radio next month meanwhile should see The Kazimier filled to capacity.

From Nowhere is released on 24th September on Racquet Records
