US alt. rock quartet unveil new video Forever and announce new album plus anniversary tour details

The Dandy Warhols US indie rock legends The Dandy Warhols have shared the video for their new track Forever, taken from their upcoming album due for release in early 2019.

The follow up to 2016s Distortland, the band’s tenth LP is due for release on Dine Alone Records. Prior to the new album the band are setting out on a twenty-fifth anniversary tour which visits Europe in January and includes four UK shows (see full dates below).

Of the ghostly new video, ideally themed for Hallowe’en, Warhols frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor stated, ‘To get a feel for the‎ massive length of our career in a three and a half minute video, I broke it up into three parts and used Greek mythology as my guide. First, the labyrinth with the minotaur guarding the passage. A classic jerk doorman with a tiny nose ring making us wait as if he’s gotta make sure these are the right ghosts. Welcome to our lives. Next, the hermaphrodite angel (wearing a tie as subtle symbolism). Sweet and just wants to be helpful, not making a distinction whether it’s for better or worse. Finally, Cerberus the multi-headed dog, which represents our personal demons or whatever drives us to continue doing this. All in all it sounds like and probably is a pretentious lot of shit, but it sure feels good to do it anyway’.

The group’s next live date will be their annual Christmas hometown show on December 1st at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, with more North American anniversary tour dates due to be announced soon.
