Truck Festival Is Nearly Here
Tall Ships, Mystery Jets, Lucy Rose and many more head to this year's Truck Festival

Elsewhere on Friday, local boys-come-good Fixers are back for what’s sure to be a joyous homecoming. A plethora of other local bands feature across the weekend, such as the fine Dead Jerichos, Spring Offensive, Gunning For Tamar, Dreaming Spires, and many more.
Other big names to look forward to on Friday include the hilarious Tim Minchin, the rising Little Comets, the Scottish gatekeepers of modern funk who are The Federation of the Disco Pimp, and the ferocious Future of the Left, who are headlining the Barn.
Saturday sees a Big Scary Monsters takeover in the Barn, with the soon-to-be enormous Tall Ships joined by mates Johnny Foreigner and Three Trapped Tigers, who will headline the stage. Elsewhere, Lucy Rose escapes from the clutches of the Bombay Bicycle Club boys to show what she can do. Frightened Rabbit headline the Second Stage, while the great bastions of British rock music, British Sea Power and 65 Days of Static occupy the main stage.
Not only does the line-up showcase so much of what’s great about local and international music at the moment, but the festival has a fantastic community atmosphere permeating throughout. Thanks to its small festival site, it makes seeing all that you want to see a real possibility, along with the smells and sounds of being on a working farm (yes, the barn does smell a little bit like manure). Hopefully it will be one of the few British festivals to make it through the rainy season unscathed, but even if it doesn’t, it should still be one of the festivals of the summer.
20th and 21st of July @ Hill Farm, Steventon in Oxfordshire.
