The Lemonheads US power pop legends The Lemonheads have announced details of new album Love Chant their first album of new material in almost twenty years.

Due for release in Autumn through Fire Records, the LP is preceded by new single Deep End available as a limited edition 12” on 13th June. Featuring former band member and solo artist Juliana Hatfield on backing vocals and Dinosaur Jr mainman J Mascis on lead guitar, the cut comes backed with the first video by the group since the 1990s.

The album is the first set of original material by the group since 2006s eponymous 'Red' LP, which was followed by covers collections, Varshons (2009) and Varshons 2 (2019).

Love Chant sees Lemonheads mainman Evan Dando collborating with songwriter Tom Morgan from Australian band Sneeze, a partnership that resulted in several tracks on the Lemonheads’ run of classic 1990s albums.
