PZYK 2020 Announce First Wave Of Acts For May Event

The team behind Liverpool International Festival have announced details of the all-dayer set to take place in mid-May

Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia The team behind Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia have announced their return with PZYK 2020, a kaleidoscopic 16 hour all day event to be held on Saturday 16th May.

Reconfigured from its weekend format into an all-dayer, the Invisible Wind Factory and surrounding spaces in Liverpool’s North Docks will provide the setting. High up the bill are the creators of one of 2019s most acclaimed albums, Kosmiche post punks Snapped Ankles alongside cult Lancastrian lo-fi psych-punk collective The Lovely Eggs.

Retaining Psych Fest’s international perspective, Niger’s Kel Assouf brings Tuareg trance together with Moon Duo-esque pulsations, while Hong Kong duo Gong Gong Gong 工工工 splice heavy garage rock and Malian influenced melodies.

Elsewhere Amsterdam based Grammy-nominated Anatolian psych folk group Altin Gün and Kaukolampi, leader of Helsinki cosmic rock collective K-X-P showcase the breadth of PZYK's wide-ranging bookings.



Journeying across the Atlantic to Merseyside, Bostonion underground legends Sunburned Hand Of The Man are joined by Eric Copeland from NYC experimental rock troupe Black Dice and Jackie Lynn the new project of Haley Fohr of Circuit Des Yeux.

A strong showing of rising UK acts are set to feature including Pregoblin and Los Bitchos and Black Country, New Road.

Alongside the already announced artists, more acts, DJs and DJs and assorted happenings are set to be revealed before the interplanetary vessel is cleared for take-off in mid-May.
