Eyesore and the Jinx Unveil Video For New Single On An Island Creating waves in the blogosphere and BBC Radio 6 Music at present, rising Liverpool post-punks Eyesore and the Jinx return with brilliant, belligerent new single On An Island. Inspired by social media isolation and the political state of the nation, the track marries a Mark E. Smith-style narrative to supercharged alt. rock / psychobilly influenced by The Gun Club, The Cramps and Parquet Courts.

The trio describe the single as "a sweet and tender ballad dedicated to the cultural residue of post-Brexit Britain. Where endorsers of teeth whitener, protein shakes and 2-for-1 cocktails are as influential as the reptiles in Westminster..."

Created by regular collaborator animator Mat Greaves, the video reveals further details on repeated viewings, cramming in references into reality TV, retro video games, the EU and a billboard stating ‘Empathy Sold Out’.

Issued by Merseyside based label and collective Eggy Records, On An Island was recorded and mixed in Fresh Good Studios, Birkenhead by Matthew Freeman and produced by Jonathan Hartley, guitar/keys player of much admired Liverpool garage/psych stalwarts Clinic.
