Seun Kuti - From Africa With Fury

Seun Anikulapo Kuti has set the release date of From Africa With Fury: Rise for the 4th April 2011. Leading Egypt 80, a combo first fronted by the world renown Fela Kuti, also known as the Father of Afrobeat, this album comes fraught with the passion for music Seun holds, in finding his won voice, as a singer and songwriter. Produced by Brian Eno and John Reynolds alongside Seun himself, there is clearly a lot of interest from those muso's whose opinions actually stem from a deep-seated love of music in all its forms, with Eno Highlighting the man himself as “making some of the biggest, wildest, livest music on the planet."

Seun draws creative ideologies from the world around him, and life as he has lived it. “What inspires me is the time that I live in,” Seun says. “Basically what is happening today in Africa are the same things that were happening 40 years ago, when my father was songwriting, but they’re happening in different ways." It will be a weighty record no doubt, full of the buzz that Afrobeat encompasses, and with all the blessings of the talented musicians behind it.
