Psyence Stoke psych rock quintet Psyence make a formidable return to action with blazing new track Tusk, available to stream and download here.

The first material from the group since their acclaimed eponymous debut LP issued last August, Tusk is the first fruits of the band’s second LP, due for release next year.

Highlighting the strength of their rhythm section with its shifts in time signature, the thunderous track is the most immediate single released by the band so far.

Backed with an intriguing, vaguely sinister video, the clip is Psyence’s most ambitious to date.

Featuring lead vocalist Steve Pye escaping from what appears to be a military industrial facility into a forest, the rest of the band decked out in white hazmat suits give chase to the singer. The first in what appears to be a multi-part video, the clip concludes with a To Be Continued caption.

Tusk is out now through Mother City Ltd / Voodoo 7 Records now
