Mutual Benefit Announce New Album and Tour Storied US indie pop outfit Mutual Benefit have issued two new tracks Come to Pass and Shedding Skin and confirmed details of their forthcoming LP Thunder Follows The Light due in September.

The project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Jordan Lee, the set is due for release through US label Transgressive on 21st September. Breaking through following a score of digitally released albums, the Brooklyn based group issued 2013 LP Love’s Crushing Diamond to widespread acclaim and consolidated its success with 2016 follow up Skip A Sinking Stone.

Added to YouTube, Come to Pass and Shedding Skin are the follow up to a double hit of tracks released in May. Drawing on the personal and the political, Lee has spoken of the album’s themes being inspired by ‘a constructed nostalgia that keeps us looking backwards instead of a having a powerful enough imagination to see the hard truths of the present but work towards a better future’.

Kicking off in Belfast on the 22nd October, the tour takes in eleven UK and Ireland dates before heading over to North America. Full dates are below.
