Toro Y Moi Releases New Material
Chaz Bundick aka Toro Y Moi will soon release the follow up to 'Underneath The Pine', a set of remixes for Tyler, the Creator, a split 7” with Cloud Nothings along with a host of international tour dates. The follow up EP 'Freaking Out' is due September 12th on Carpark.
The EP was recorded last month "during a period of touring quiescence" and is described as twenty minutes of boogie influenced by the Gap Band and Mtume. The first couple of tracks are takes on post eighties-disco vibe. Bundick also covers Cherrelle and Alexander O’Neill’s “Saturday Love." Finally, “I Can Get Love,” sees Bundick taking every style he's used and moulding it into one song.
