Siskiyou Main man Colin Huebert, formally of Great Lake Swimmers teamed up with Erik Arnesen (still a current Swimmer) in 2008, releasing their eponymous debut in 2010. Now, with the addition of Shaunn Watt and Peter Carruthers, and following the release of follow up LP Keep Away the Dead Siskiyou are about to unleash their exquisite and finely balanced brand of alt-folk on an extensive tour that will surely further enhance their already formidable reputation as a live act. Sure, they are a folk band, but they fuse a variety of North American roots music into an intimate blend of quiet joy, heartache and all-encompassing atmospherics that will leave you with a tear in your eye still wanting more. Expect an array of instruments played with passion, and songs that feel like an evocation of winter, yet come across as a celebration of season and landscape and life, and that will hopefully leave you feeling a little warmer.
