Poly Styrene Known to many as a "punk amongst punks", fearlessly plunging headfirst into a career of her own making, and battling on through her illness to write, record and release her solo album in 2010, Marianne Elliot Said has won the respect of music fans throughout her life. Making history the moment she uttered the line “Some people think little girls should be seen and not heard but I think oh bondage up yours!”, the Ex-Ray Spex lady was born to break ground through her wise outlook, and the Spex influence on Britpop and the Riot Grrrl movement in release of the seminal album Germ Free Adolescents.

Breaking ground with her 2010 Christmas release 'Black Christmas', and following closely behind with a new record, Poly Styrene’s Generation Indigo is out now through Future Noise Music, produced by Youth (The Verve, Killing Joke, The Fireman, Edwyn Collins). Take a moment to think of her friends and family tonight, and play a tune for the "Punk amongst punks".
