Manchester Action For Kosovo releases new all-star Album Also involved in ecology, sport and human rights, MAK has has taken a hand in the installation of the 22 Acre 'Peace Park' in NE Kosovo, and several music music projects. The new republic of Kosovo remains the poorest country in Europe and its young people lack freedom to travel. So in 2009 The Travelling Band (of which Jo Durridge Curated this forthcoming album) became one of the first British bands to perform in Kosovo. Playing at the Peace Park, in theatre's, cafes, on the streets and even on horse drawn wagons, with the aim to inspire Kosovo musicians around them to get out, go public and make it happen! MAK has proved that linking recovery and creativity creates strength, opportunity and of course, great music.

New effort Ten comes ten years after the first Charity album released through MAK, on which lesser know Elbow lent their dulcet tones. Now returning to the fore with the likes of Badly Drawn Boy, Nine Black Alps and Liz Green, there is a whole lot of greatness to be heard, from new and well established artists. Released on the 4th April on MAK / Sideways Saloon, it is sure to be a perfect selection.
