Liz Green Announces New Tour and Album

Liz Green Last November, the debut album by Mancunian songstress Liz Green sent the press into a frenzy of superlatives. O, Devotion! was produced by Toerag Studios’ Liam Watson (White Stripes) and lauded by everyone from Radio 6’s Riley and Radcliffe, to the Daily Telegraph and Sun. On Monday 12 March, she releases her new single 'Bad Medicine', backed with exclusive B-side Rybka, on Play It Again Sam.

Liz’s songs have the poetic simplicity of classic folk and blues. Live, her clear and distinctive vocals and fingerpicked guitar are backed, Liz promises, by “great mouth trumpet” – replacing the album’s Kurt Weill via New Orleans arrangements (“I can’t afford to take a full band…”) If bleak yet intriguing lyrics, a soupcon of chanson and a spot of hand-puppetry (yes, really) appeal, you can catch her at the following venues:
