Crooked Mountain, Crooked Sea Based in Brighton, these alternative-rock rapscallions have been gaining steady kudos through their EP releases and tireless tours, playing with the likes of Hold Your Horse Is, Amateurs, Illness and Shoes And Socks Off. Also boasting a wide ranging palate of influences, Crooked Mountain, Crooked Sea are best known for their stealthy switch between the melodic and the melodramatic, with screams and catchy melodics thrown around in a maelstrom of distortion and delight. Their first album What's There To Write About?, recorded almost entirely live in a converted stable at the end of last year, captures this lively energy in its most organic form.
