False Advertising Announce All Day Falsetival Event For April Fresh from their exhilarating turn at Independent Venue Week in Liverpool (review), Manchester alt. rock mavens False Advertising are set to headline their own mini-festival in their hometown on Saturday 7th April.

Dubbed Falsetival, the all-dayer takes place in the subterannean gig space of The Soup Kitchen in the city’s Northern Quarter and pulls together a clutch of specially selected kindred spirits in celebration of all things fuzz, alternative, melodic and DIY.

With seven acts due to be unveiled, the acts confirmed to join False Advertising so far include Chester indie-pop progenitors Peaness, who recently completed a support stint with The Cribs.

A double-hit of Leeds’ outfits, abrasively melodic post-punk trio Dead Naked Hippies and fellow West Yorkshire guitar slingers, grunge pop types Forever Cult are also set to feature.

Making the trip up from The Smoke, fuzzed-up punk duo JOHN bring the noise from London, with two more acts to be confirmed before the final line up is announced.

Acts confirmed are:
