Video: Weaves Return With New Single Walkaway, Plus Album and Tour Details Canadian power pop mavens Weaves have just released the video to new single Walkaway, the second single to be issued from their upcoming second album Wide Open.

An anthemic slice of spiky guitar pop that places Jasmyn Burke’s stunning voice front and centre, the track was described by the vocalist as ‘a song about empowerment and finding light in the darkness’.

Directed by band guitarist Morgan Waters, the clip was filmed at the same time as the sleeve to Wide Open was shot, with the song and the accompanying visuals drawing inspiration from the conclusion to darkly comic high school classic Heathers (1988) starring Winona Ryder.

The follow up to their storming debut LP issued last year (review), Wide Open is due to hit the shelves on 6th October through Memphis Industries for the UK.

The band have announced a slew of dates across North America, Europe and UK for late October, see details below.
