The Go! Team Brightonian genre magpies The Go! Team have announced details of their forthcoming album Get Up Sequences Part One and issued lead track World Remember Me Now. Due for release on 2nd July through Memphis Industries, the new disc is their sixth album and their first new material since 2018s Semicircle.

World Remember Me Now finds the six piece in typically ebullient form, with vocals supplied by talismanic front woman and a guest appearance by members of The Kansas City Girls Choir.

The album was recorded as Go! Team main man Ian Parton was battling Meniere's disease, a condition that affects the inner ear, which resulted in him suffering with partial hearing loss for a time. The group's songwriter explained, 'I woke up one Thursday in October 2019 and my hearing was different in some way - it fluctuated over a few weeks and at one point everything sounded like a Dalek. I seem to remember listening to music was bordering on unbearable. Over time it settled into just a tiny bit of hi end being audible on my right side. It was traumatic to keep listening to songs I knew well but which suddenly sounded different and it was an odd juxtaposition to listen to upbeat music when I was on such a downer. The trauma of losing my hearing gave the music a different dimension for me and it transformed the album into more of a life raft''.

To accompany the release of the LP the band have announced a live Q&A via Zoom hosted by DJ and broadcaster Don Letts. Held in association with Rough Trade, the event takes place on Thurs 6th July, tickets are available here
