Stream: Pinkshinyultrablast Release New Single Find Your Saint
Russia’s finest export return with third album previewing dream pop track
Returning with a new self-described sliver of ‘Thunderpop’ St. Petersburg based shoegazers Pinkshinyultrablast have unveiled an estimable new track, the synth soaked Find Your Saint.
Set to be released on September 1st through storied shoegazing label Club AC30, the cut is the first single to be released from the band’s as-yet untitled third LP.
Now slimmed down from a quintet to a three piece, Find Your Saint sees the band pursue a more electronic route with the band’s synth guru Rustam to the forefront, alongside guitarist Roman’s weaving counter-melodies and completed by lead singer Lyubov’s celestial vocals.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese pop such as Cornelius, texturlists such as Cocteau Twins and minimalism, with lead singer Lyubov's recent move to LA, the group have been searching out new methods of writing and collaborating.
Currently completing their new album, the disc will be Pinkshinyultrablast's third set in as many years, following highly acclaimed 2016 release Grandfeathered (review) and similarly feted debut Everything Else Matters (2015) (review).
