Manchester Psych Outfit Purple Heart Parade Announce New EP Desolation Angel

Cloudbursting Mancunian psych rock outfit Purple Heart Parade have announced details of their eagerly anticipated new EP Desolation Angel due for release on January 10th 2020.

Due for release through cult shoegaze label Club AC30, the new disc is the follow up to last year’s acclaimed Lonestar EP and was again helmed by Pat Collier (The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream) at Perry Vale Studios, London.

Described by the group as an “optimistic, romantic” set, the five track EP opens with swirling lead single Petrichor (listen to it here) which harnesses the group’s trademark exapansive guitar sound and rise and fall dynamics to melodic lead vocals.

A mainstay at psychedelic festivals including Liverpool Psych Fest and Portugal’s Reverence Festival, the quintet won the seal of approval from Ride’s Mark Gardener, Primal Scream’s Simone Butler and The Verve’s guitar genius Nick McCabe.

Available to pre-order now (see below for details), the group play a gig on home turf at YES, Manchester in mid-December where a limited number of copies of Desolation Angel will be on sale.
