Eyesore & The Jinx Issue Furious New Single Swill Making a swift return following scabrous second single On An Island issued in February, Liverpool post-punks Eyesore & The Jinx return with furious new 45 Swill.

A song which initially had the title Shitbag, the lyrics to Swill take aim at the right-wing press, “broadcasters of misplaced hate”, with frantic guitar work that suggests Modern Life Is Rubbish-era Blur at their most unhinged.

Their imagination fired by Stateside influences Meat Puppets, The Dead Kennedys, Husker Du, Black Flag and Protomartyr lead singer Josh describes the track as “a three minute and thirty-nine second love song dedicated to the odious, perpetrators of moral panic, in all of its loathsome forms.”

Produced by Daniel Fox of Girl Band alongside Matthew Freeman of Birkenhead’s Fresh Goods Studio, the track is set for release through rising Merseyside label Eggy Records.

With a clutch of live dates due over the summer, the trio are set to play new festival Future Yard in Birkenhead on Wirral over the August Bank Holiday.

Swill is available through Eggy Records, available through Bandcamp here
