LP Stream: Superman Revenge Squad Band - There Is Nothing More Frightening Than The Passing Of Time

One half of now-defunct sibling duo Nosferatu-D2, Ben Parker now flies under the flag of his solo project, Superman Revenge Squad Band. It's an acoustic noise he peddles, intimately lo-fi and sodden with his conversational wit – fans of Baxter Dury or Cosmo Jarvis will be thrilled and/or smitten by his sound.

Based in Croydon, he's been writing and recording material under his SRSB alias for approximately six years, but on his new record, entitled There Is Nothing More Frightening Than The Passing Of Time, he's joined once more by brother Adam Parker and myriad instruments including sax, accordion, strings and percussion, not to mention his frenetic fretwork. A large segment of his appeal has always come from the lyrics he wields, and his forthcoming record will not disappoint – it's laced with emotive tales of the stresses of modern life, his frank wordplay and all manner of cult references (including Rocky III, David Lynch and pro-wrestling).

The bad news is that it's not out until October 14th (via Audio Antihero), but the good news is that we at Bearded have an exclusive stream ahead of it's release. Enjoy below.
