Something For The Weekend: East London (Via East Anglia)

January is a bleak time: It's colder than a well digger's ass, you've probably put on weight since Christmas, you're definitely broke since Christmas and Eastenders cashed in all its juicy plotlines too...

Luckily this year the good gentlemen of East Anglia's premiere dubstep promoters Stink Like Sock (who you can check our wonderfully banging guest mix from HERE) have got on the road to London to team up with Uprise Audio (helmed by the always heavyweight Seven) at East Village, London on January 31st to put on a night of bass heavy entertainment that should help sweat off a fair portion of that festive cheeseboard. To make matters even more reasonable they've also resurrected their "Pound For The Sound" tradition meaning the whole shindig will cost literally ONE of Her Majesty's finest pounds!

The line-up features Sock scholars T!, Swiss back to back with Daddy Genius, Uprise Audio chieftain Seven, Aslylum, Dubtek and Nanobyte back to back and the almighty Youngsta (who we caught up with last month HERE) hosted by Toast, Alys Be & Joe Raygun.

Let's be frank here, a pound won't even cover a tin of Red Stripe in the current economic climate, so with a line up like this you really haven't got an excuse not to.
