The National Honor Society US shoegaze outfit The National Honor Society have unveiled the animated visuals to new single Be Gone, previewing their imminent debut LP.

With anticipated first album To All the Glory We Never Had due for release at the end of the month, the jangle / dream pop inspired new cut is the second track to be pulled from the Seattle band’s album.

Backed with an animated video created by director Kyle Porter, the clip draws inspiration from Japanese author and poet Sei Shōnagon’s seminal work The Pillow Book.

Produced by fellow Seattle resident Erik Blood (Shabazz Palaces, Pink Lotion, Knife Knights), To All the Glory We Never Had is released through Chien Lunatique Records on 29th May.

Inspired by the swirling shoegaze textures of groundbreaking indie rockers Ride and Lush, The National Honor Society highlighted their influences with a cover of The Stone Roses classic Mersey Paradise on the B-side of previous single First Among The Last.

Receiving attention in the blogosphere for their warmly received 2017 debut EP All Change, the outfit cemented their local following with a score of shows at legendary hometown venue The Crocodile, famed for its frequent appearances by Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
