Pinkshinyultrablast Preview Second Album With New Video For The Cherry Pit

Making a swift return 12 months on from the release of their stunning debut LP, St. Petersburg quintet Pinkshinyultrablast have unveiled the video to new single The Cherry Pit due for release on 12th February.

The third track to surface from band’s forthcoming LP Grandfeathered, the disc set for release on 26th February through Club AC30 is one of the most anticipated new albums of 2016.

The group’s debut LP Everything Else Matters issued to huge acclaim in January 2015 (review) was followed by a string of outstanding UK gigs including sets at the Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia and sold out shows including Manchester (review and interview) and London.

Opening with a quotation from A Dream Within a Dream by Edgar Allen Poe, the clip for The Cherry Pit features lead singer Lyubov Soloveva filmed in various locations in the band’s hometown.

Directed by Jared Hutchinson who worked on the video for the band’s Ravestar Supreme single, the track is expansive synth led psychedelia led by Lyubov’s stunning vocals that switches gears into an apocalyptic guitar thrashing coda at the close.



Grandfeathered is released on 26th February through Club AC30
