Listen: Small Black - ‘Black Dawn’

Don't let the name fool you, 'Black Dawn' will certainly brighten your drab days up, especially with Spring just round corner. It's the first single from Small Black's new album, 'Limits of Desire,' which is out on May 13th. Hushed vocals, sweeping synths and fluttering drums all blossom into a haze of euphoric ecstasy. The album cover, by Dutch artist Scarlett Hooft Graafland represents the album's themes: limited desires and how people are limited by them. It marks a departure from the enclosed bedroom-produced sound of their previous records into more expansive and enveloping ones.
