The Lucid Dream Unveil Video For New EP Track Bad Texan One of UK psychedelia's leading lights, Carlisle quartet The Lucid Dream have unveiled 'Bad Texan', the first new material since the band's lauded self-titled 2015 LP (review).

Taken from the forthcoming EP of the same name due for release on 11th March through Holy Are You Recordings, the expansive cut showcases the band in Kosmische/motorik form, audaciously holding off until the three minute mark before the introduction of singer Mark Emmerson's vocals.

Helmed by long-term collaborators acclaimed Liverpool based film makers Freakbeat Films, the brilliantly edited split-screen clip is directed by Dan Hewitson.

A mainstay at Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, with three sets at the Merseyside psych celebration to their name, in addition to a brace of European festivals, the group have two gigs in Blighty in the offing (see below) including the Cosmosis Festival in Manchester on the same bill as treasured band influence The Jesus And Mary Chain and psych rock legends The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Set for a busy year, the band's third LP is currently a work 'in progress', slated for release later this year and follows 2013 debut Songs of Lies and Deceit and its 2015 eponymously titled follow up.
