INTRODUCING: Coda

For people who like their dance music dark and moody, South London’s live dubstep act Coda are ones to keep a beady eye on. These five disconcertingly cheerful chaps lead us merrily into the darkness and before we know it, we are wallowing in heavy bass and deeply atmospheric rhythms.

With an increasingly popular live show that builds and sputters its way to the loudest of climaxes, Coda are finally releasing their long awaited studio offering The Breach. And what’s better is that you can get it for free here from today.

Sample mastermind and producer Noj gives us a bit of backstory on the making of The Breach “We started putting together tracks around October last year, and we are all perfectionists, so this is why it has taken this long to put out a four track E.P! It’s our first release so we wanted it to make a big statement... The tracks themselves are not so in your face as they are in a live environment, however we are prone to writing that kind of material”.

Not only are they giving away their EP, but clearly being charitable fellows, Coda are throwing a party at Brixton Jamm on 7th April in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Celebrating the launch of their highly anticipated debut EP, the boys will be joined by the chief of Dub Police Rod Azlan and hot DnB spinner Subterra.
